In 2008, gei began to try to operate as a "think tank". As a think tank, gei promotes the establishment and formulation of government policies in the form of an independent third-party organization outside the government system, and promotes intergovernmental communication and cooperation in the field of climate change between China and the United States. In 2008, gei tried to export mature biogas technology from China to other developing countries. At present, our initial success in Sri Lanka has provided the conditions and preparations for gei to apply for Chinese government's assistance to implement biogas projects abroad next year, and laid the foundation for further using Chinese assistance to export mature renewable energy technologies to other developing countries and contribute to global warming. In addition, in 2008, gei has further expanded its training on different levels of decision makers and enterprises of China's high-level government, carried out capacity-building training for young entrepreneurs and managers of small rural enterprises, further promoted the sustainable development project of rural communities, and won praise from relevant experts, project participants and the society. Looking forward to the future, as a pioneer of "going global" of Chinese NGOs, gei hopes to make more and greater contributions to global environmental protection in the next few years. 2008年是GEI開始嘗試作為“智庫”運作的一年。作為智庫，GEI以政府體制外、 獨立第三方的機構(gòu)形式，推動政府政策的建立和制定，并促進中美氣候變化領(lǐng) 域政府間的溝通與合作。2008年也是GEI嘗試把中國成熟的沼氣技術(shù)輸出到其它發(fā)展中國家的一年。目 前我們在斯里蘭卡已取得的初步成功，為GEI下一年度申請中國政府援款在國外實 施沼氣項目提供了條件，做好了準(zhǔn)備，也為進一步利用中國援款輸出成熟可再生能 源技術(shù)到其它發(fā)展中國家，為應(yīng)對全球氣候變暖做貢獻，奠定了基礎(chǔ)。此外，2008年GEI還在針對中國高層政府決策者和企業(yè)等不同層面的培訓(xùn)上有 了進一步的拓展，開展了對社會年輕創(chuàng)業(yè)人員和農(nóng)村小企業(yè)管理者的能力建設(shè)培 訓(xùn)，進一步推進了農(nóng)村社區(qū)可持續(xù)發(fā)展項目，得到相關(guān)專家、項目參與者和社會的 好評。 展望未來，作為中國NGO“走出去”的先驅(qū)，GEI希望在未來幾年為全球的環(huán)境 保護做出更多、更大的貢獻。在此真誠地感謝所有機構(gòu)和個人對GEI的支持！希望 在未來的日子里，您能繼續(xù)給予我們支持與幫助！
