This report is written for the Governing Board, Standing Committees and Secretariat of the International Energy Agency, although it may also be of interest to a wider audience. It draws on contributions from CIAB Associates to briefly describe developments in international coal markets over the last year and highlight policy and other issues that CIAB Members regard as pertinent to the development of coal as a secure, clean and competitive energy source.
