第一封：cover letter
Cover letter可以說是投稿信，也可以說是論文的推薦信，其目的是讓sci期刊的編輯通過閱讀cover letter能夠?qū)ci論文有所了解，介紹文章內(nèi)容時主要講述核心部分：做這項(xiàng)研究的原因、研究過程中的重要發(fā)現(xiàn)、得出了什么結(jié)果，再就是該項(xiàng)研究對投稿期刊宗旨的契合度。
Dear Editor: I would like to request you to consider the attached manuscript entitled [論文題目] for publication in [期刊名稱] as an [文章類型].
While many studies have investigated the [簡短敘述該主題下的既有知識].1 have not come across a paper that deals with [你的研究所屬領(lǐng)域/主題]. We conducted [簡短敘述研究方法] and came up with [概述研究結(jié)果]. Sci論文雖然審稿的時間比較長，但如果超出了常規(guī)的審稿時間還沒有收到論文的任何消息，這時可以寫一封催稿信委婉的問一下，論文現(xiàn)在的狀態(tài)，好讓編輯知道論文的情況，然后對論文進(jìn)一步處理是催審稿人還是換審稿人等。在寫催稿信時可以參考：

I have submitted my revised manuscript titled 論文題目 [manuscript id: 稿件編號] to your journal via the online submission system on dd/mm/yyyy [date of submission]. Two days later, the status changed to『with editor.』However, the status has remained unchanged ever since.

Sincerely,作者名字和聯(lián)系方式第三封：修改稿cover letter據(jù)了解不是所有的sci期刊都需要作者提交修改稿是提交cover letter，若是需要提交也就是一些客套話，首先要對審稿人的審稿表示感謝，然后說明自己修改了哪些內(nèi)容，修改的內(nèi)容是怎樣標(biāo)記的。 Dear Editor XX and Reviewers, Thanks very much for taking your time to review this manuscript.
