As early as 2005, China's "Eleventh Five Year Plan" proposed to save energy and reduce emissions. In recent years, in order to reduce carbon emissions, China has taken measures including adjusting the industrial structure and optimizing the energy structure. By the end of 2020, the carbon emission intensity of China has decreased by 18.8% compared with that of 2015, and the proportion of non fossil energy in energy consumption has reached 15.9%, which has exceeded the 2020 target that China has promised to the international community. It was in the general debate of the 75th UN General Assembly in September 2020 that China first explicitly put forward the idea of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutral". Our country's president, Xi Jinping, told the world that China will adopt more effective policies and measures, and promise to strive to reach its peak by 2030. In 2030, the carbon dioxide emissions per unit of gross domestic product will decrease by 60%~65% compared with that in 2005, and achieve the goal of carbon neutralization by 2060.
