大多數(shù)加拿大人似乎同意我們的石油和天然氣。對(duì)所有加拿大人來(lái)說(shuō)，工業(yè)太重要了，不能放棄。沒(méi)有希望改變世界溫室的一時(shí)興起氣體(GHG)排放軌跡。在聯(lián)邦的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，我們開(kāi)始了一場(chǎng)嚴(yán)肅的國(guó)家能源對(duì)話，重新考慮能源項(xiàng)目批準(zhǔn)的同樣認(rèn)真的努力國(guó)家能源信息化進(jìn)程與展望系統(tǒng)。盡管幾個(gè)省存在嚴(yán)重分歧，聯(lián)邦政府的碳定價(jià)計(jì)劃似乎有產(chǎn)生深思熟慮的對(duì)話，潛在地放置加拿大真正走在國(guó)際前沿經(jīng)濟(jì)上減災(zāi)行動(dòng)的堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ) 整個(gè)經(jīng)濟(jì)的溫室氣體排放。

The majority of Canadians seemed to agree that our oil and gas industry was too important – to all Canadians - to abandon on a whim with no prospect of changing the world’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trajectory. Under federal leadership, we had the beginnings of a serious national energy conversation, an equally serious effort to rethink energy project approval processes and the prospect of a national energy information system. Despite serious disagreement from several provinces, the federal government’s plans for carbon pricing appeared to be generating a thoughtful conversation, potentially placing Canada genuinely in the forefront internationally with an economically sound foundation for action on the reduction of GHG emissions across the economy.
