Unconventional natural gas produced from shale is reshaping the U.S. energy sector. In 2011, the Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis (JISEA) published its first major report in a series of studies on natural gas and the U.S. energy sector. Natural Gas and the Transformation of the U.S. Energy Sector: Electricity provides a new methodological approach to estimate natural gasrelated greenhouse gas emissions, tracks trends in regulatory and voluntary industry practices, and explores various electricity futures.
