The Government of Alberta’s plan to address greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the widespread implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS)1 technologies is achievable. This is important not just for Alberta but for the world. CCS as a mitigation measure can make a meaningful impact on global GHG emissions. The work of the Alberta Carbon Capture and Storage Development Council confirms this potential and, more importantly, it outlines the blueprint required to make this potential a reality.
