2006年，全球經(jīng)濟在世界大多數(shù)主要地區(qū)均表現(xiàn)出強勁而廣泛的增長。盡管貨幣緊縮，以及直到第三季度的石油和大宗商品價格上漲，以及潛在的，有時甚至是劇烈的地緣政治緊張局勢，世界經(jīng)濟成功地實現(xiàn)了5.4％的增長率，而2005年為4.8％，遠(yuǎn)高于歷史平均水平（表1）

The global economy exhibited strong, broad-based growth in most major world regions in 2006. Despite monetary tightening, and higher oil and commodity prices well into the third quarter, as well as latent, and at times, acute geopolitical tensions, the world economy was successful in achieving a rate of growth of 5.4 per cent, compared with 4.8 per cent in 2005, well above historical averages (table 1).
