在過去的幾年中，信息和通信技術（ICT）取得了巨大的進步，已將世界上許多地區(qū)轉變?yōu)閿?shù)字互聯(lián)社區(qū)。改變的主要驅動力是互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和萬維網(wǎng)。兩者都為政府提供在線信息和提供服務的方式增加了新的維度。煤炭部還在NIC的幫助下采取了一些舉措，以改善行政運作并提高部的效率

Over the past few years the dramatic advances made in Information and Communication Technology(ICT) have transformed much of the world into a digitally interconnected community. The predominant drivers of change have been the Internet and the world wide web. Both have added a new dimension to the way government should offer online information and deliver services. Initiatives have also been taken up by Ministry of Coal with the help of NIC to improve administrative operations and enhance Ministry effciency
