Aiming at the study on the automation of rail tankers loading, the design conception of using directly radio frequency admittance liquid level meter to measure the liquid level of tanker and then check the volume according to tanker volume table is proposed as the alternative of rou- tine measuring method using flowmeter. The structure of radio frequency admittance liquid level meter and the principle for continuous measure- ment, and the possibility of realizing measurement system are described.
